Delia Windwalker aka Floating Feather, gardener, invites community stakeholders to join in establishing a local Food Security garden project. Producing market garden products to share with our local Food Pantry, while providing aspiring or veteran gardeners with hands on Permaculture experience as we reclaim and redesign our garden landscapes for food, herbs, flower, and wildlife. Veteran Gardener and former NEYM Friend sojourning in the United Methodist Church, Upper NY Conference. Advocate for resilient and restorative agriculture, Farm Based Education, and Bionutrient Food systems. Located next to Fort Drum, in the hamlet of Great Bend, Jefferson County, Northern New York. Her professional career spans 4 decades of non-profit, government, education, and religious organization (Quaker, UU, UCC, & Episcopal) employment/service in institutional advancement, member services, and conference/events management. In parallel Delia has established, cultivated, remediated, and grown many kinds of gardens since 1978 in dozens of Northeast locations for family, friends, and clients. As career-employment has diminished, her gardening life has accelerated and unfolded into a giving ministry, where she practices gardening as a volunteer for Mother Earth. 2019-2020 Vision: investigating the solutions presented in the recently published book: "Drawdown"
